The Pirate king.

Captain Henry Every aka Long Ben/Arch Pirate or The Pirate King. Born in Newton Ferrers during 1659, which is only 9 miles from Plymouth, makes him another Plymouth Pirate. He vanished from all records 1696. It is unknown how and what year he died. Legend says that he built his own 'Pirate Kingdom' and commanded a city full of pirates.

The Rule Of Three.

Captain Mayflower does the flag of 'Billy One Hand.'

Born 1690's died 1770's (Pardoned)

Christopher Condent was a plymouth boy, So this design is very close to home. He would have spent time drinking Grog at 'Plymouth Sutton Harbour'.

Edward Teach aka Blackbeard
Born 1680 in Bristol. Died 1718. Killed in action.

The most famous pirate who understood the power of symbols and how they could strike fear into passing ships. Probably the most romanticised pirate because of the volume of fiction, games and merchandise that uses his imagery.

The Worst Pirate.

John Rackham aka Calico Jack born in the UK. Born 1682 Executed in 1720. Hung by the kneck. Historian tell stories tha Calicko Jack was the worst pirate because he wasn't very good at piracy. His flag design has recently been copied by the franchise 'Pirates of the caribbean' and his love for rum and women are the same traits as 'Jack Sparrow.'

FICTIONAL PIRATE.

Born in 1995 in a classroom at a Plymouth school. He started of as a sketch and then was forgotten about. 25 years later he has come back to life and has made lots of new friends. Captain Mayflower is a retired Pirate but is very much involved with oddballs and misfits who still practice piracy. Keep a weather eye open for recent stories about his funny shenanigans.  His flag is a simple skull and crossbone design which changes depending on it's mood.
